Right behind Miramar Villas
Lone Star Grill and Cantina, formerly Mr. Joe's, offers great breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Although promoted as as "TexMex" there is a great variety on the menu; Fried pickles("wonderful"), tortilla soup ("rich & hearty") and possibly the best chicken fried steak in Belize. |

Hidden Treasure Restaurant offers great food in an ambience of fine and rustic dining. Service was excellent, the specials that night were great and the music added to the ambience. Look for the sign

One of our most favorite places has no web site. Wine Devine - a gourmet wine and cheese shop, on the west side of the road leading into town from the south - great wine tasting party each Friday early evening! |

You will find as many recommendation for dive shops as there are divers. They are all good. Most will pick you up at the Miramar dock. No need to travel into town.
Suya Tours
Just one block north of Miramar. Suya can also book land tours, fishing trips, and many other activities. They will pick you up at the Miramar dock.

Amigos Del Mar
This dive shop was recommended by recent guests from Guatemala. Their reviews were very favorable. I have not used them since I prefer to use Suya, our local business.

Hugh Parkey
